You only look crazy… until you do it.

People laugh at dreamers. They question them. They doubt them. They wonder why they’re aiming so high.

But I’ve learned something.

The proof is always in the pudding.

There are simply no words in the English language to describe the immense pride I feel after hosting TEDxHeaton 2026 at Bradford Grammar School.

Even before I walked onto that stage, I knew it was going to be a special day. But I never imagined just how special it would become.

From the beautiful historic building, to the incredible lineup of speakers, artists and guests… from the warmth, kindness and person-centred approach of the organisers… to the amazing conversations, collaborations and friendships that began today… I left feeling incredibly grateful.

It reminded me that sometimes people only understand your vision after you’ve lived it.

So thank you to every single person who made this event possible. 👏🏽

Thank you to the organisers.

Thank you to the volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Thank you to every speaker who courageously shared their story.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the atmosphere so memorable.

This is a day I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

And finally…

To the girl everyone thought was crazy because she dared to dream…

You weren’t crazy.

You simply saw what others couldn’t see yet.

So today, Queen Esther, I celebrate you.

Thank you for refusing to give up on your dreams.

Here’s to many more stages, many more meaningful conversations, many more collaborations, and many more opportunities to serve.

The journey is only just beginning. ❤️
