Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo popularly known as Mr Wizzo (born Idamiebi Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo) is a Nigerian youth advocate, public speaker, socio-economic and political commentator and a digital and New Media consultant. Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo is the official Brand Ambassador for Kolabo8.com, a social networking media platform owned by JSS Media Company, Ghana.
Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo holds an Advance Diploma Certificate (IVQ) in Business Administration and a Diploma Certificate (IVQ) Computer Operation from City & Guilds of London Institute. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology from Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) – Ghana’s Premier Open University with its affiliation to Kwame Nkuruma University of Science & Technology, Ghana and the Open University of Malaysia.
Wisdom is a young man with an ambition to change and make the world a better place. A social activist and youth advocate who is most concerned with the welfare of people around him. A potential politician whose focus is channelled to innovative and bold ideas in making the world a better place, and the youths are his primary focus.
As Student of AIT University, Wisdom is one of those students who played a major role in fighting for the welfare of students in Accra Institute of Technology both academically and otherwise from his very first year as a student. This gradually gained him popularity on campus from students and staffs, this popularity gradually earned him recognition in and out of campus and also within the Nigerian student community in Ghana.
Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo contested for the Position of Director of Programs in the Association of Rivers State Students Ghana (NURSS-GH – National Union of Rivers State Students, Ghana) in which he won. This position furthermore enabled him play a major role in fighting for the welfare of Nigerian students and especially Rivers State students based in Ghana. As Director of Programs to the Association of Rivers state students Ghana, he was able to frontline and be part of high profiled events that furthermore strengthen the union Rivers state students in Ghana.
Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo also contested to lead several major student associations on campus like the Student Representative Council, and the Nigerian Student Association. In 2015 he was appointed to serve as Organizing Secretary for the Nigerian Student Association of Accra Institute of Technology under the leadership of Alex Ifeanyichukwu Chigozie as President. This position he held until 2016 when he was also appointed by the Student Representative Council to serve as Local PUSAG President and Senator to Represent the Students of Accra Institute of Technology at the National Senate House of PUSAG. PUSAG is the Private University Student Association of Ghana, this is an umbrella body for all Private Universities in Ghana.
Wisdom also represented the Nigerian Student Community of Accra Institute of Technology at Senate Arm of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENT – GHANA (NANS-GH) under the leadership of Gbadebo Oluwatosin as Senate President. His Presence at 2015/2016 NANS-GH Senate gradually gained him more popularity at the National Level within the Nigerian Student Community as he advocated for transparency, accountability and effective representation within the Senate.
In 2016, he was awarded with a Leadership Award of Excellence By the Nigerian Student Community of Accra Institute of Technology for his tireless and selfless service to the Nigerian Student Community and his contribution and outstanding leadership towards the unity, growth and well being of Nigerian Student of Accra Institute of Technology.
Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo has also led so many massive social media campaigns advocating for the involvement of youths in governance both in Nigeria and Ghana. He has also led various massive campaigns on social media advocating for rights and welfare of Nigerian students both in Ghana and Nigeria especially with his home town and state of origin, River State.
In 2016, Wisdom joined the NANS-GH on a peaceful protest to the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana over the increment of Bank Withdrawal Charges on ATM in Ghana by the Central Bank of Nigeria under the President Buhari Led Government and other Bank related issues that affected Nigerian Students in 2016 due to several new policies initiated by the Nigeria Government.
Wisdom’s advocacy for the youths and students earned him votes and nomination to become the clerk at the just concluded NANS-GHANA National Congress 2016. Wisdom has over the years rising high in popularity among the Nigerian and Ghanaian Student community for his advocacy for good leadership and effective representation of students at all levels, this also earned him a nomination at the NATIONAL STUDENT AWARDS, GHANA as STUDENT PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2016.
All this achievements made him become one of the award recipients at the just concluded GHANA- NIGERIA ACHIEVERS AWARD 2016, the award was presented to him for being an effective student leader and constantly projecting the good image of Nigeria in Diaspora.
