“STEAM POWER” FREE WORKSHOPS FOR 8-16 YEARS OLD, STARTS MONDAY THE 12TH OF FEBRUARY
Half-term can be quite busy if you are not prepared, especially for those of you that have children under the age of 16. This is what’s happening in Peckham starting this Monday 12th February. #pempeople #steampower

The Global Educational Trust works with corporate sponsors, organisations, communities and individuals to help increase literacy rates both at home and across the world.
We believe that primary education must be free and available to all children.
We also believe that every adult deserves the ability to read and write. Good standards of literacy form a key enabler in all walks of life.
GET seek to raise child and adult literacy rates in the UK
Through the GET FREE BOOKS initiative, GET is striving to positively affect the children and adult literacy rates in the UK by making books free for all.
It is a sad fact that access to books is becoming more difficult, as libraries are closing across the country, owing to lack of funding from government and local authorities.
Not everyone can afford to go to high street book shops and buy a book every week. Some people are reluctant to join libraries and in any case, owning books always feels better than borrowing books.
Bringing reading back to the community
GET is opening FREE Books shops around the country. Our goal is to provide a FREE book shop in every city in the UK. Via these outlets, books are made available to anyone who needs or wants them, completely free of charge.
Some people need more help than others when it comes to their literacy and so we are proactive in establishing reading groups, book clubs and providing professional learning support for anyone who wants to improve their reading skills.
We will provide some financial support for those more talented people who wish to embark on further education but who would not otherwise be able to afford to.

Zimbabwean blood and London native, South Londoner ‘Tendai’ goes by the DJ name ‘Petite DJ’ and she teaches adults and children, including those on the Autism spectrum, how to DJ at DJ studios in Dalston, East London. Her brand “Inspiring DJs” has partnered up with Tim Campbells Bright Ideas Trust to deliver concreate business advice, and soft and hard skills for wanna-be and established DJs. DJs also showcase their skills and talent at Corporate Networking events in the City and Canary Wharf for Generation Success and have recently been head hunted to DJ at their 2nd residency in Londons trendy Camden Town. Inspiring DJs also assists existing DJs to increase their profile and engagement on mixes helping them to get their ideal bookings, residencies and demand for mixes to be played on radio shows worldwide. Tendai’s passion for Afro and South African House got her featured on BBC World News, speaking about the rise in African House music in London. She DJs Deep, Soulful, Afro and South African House music and her vibrant and energetic sets can be heard in venues across London at corporate, commercial and underground gigs with DJ residencies with South African Tourism UK, Rhythm n Funk, and Dubai House brand #Afrocentric. Her “Soul Seductive Sessions” mixes have been hosted on shows worldwide from Romania to New York, including interviewing South African artists to educate listeners on the sounds she herself was heavily influenced by. She vowed to fly the flag and became the go to person for South African and Afro House mixes here in the UK, Europe and Africa. Tendai grew up playing music to her peers in school choirs and assemblies playing Baritone, Trombone and Clarinet, thus the transition from musician to DJ felt like a natural progression, as she continues to become at ONE with the music. Tendai is also a Transformational Coach and Social Media Trainer, teaching people how to market themselves effectively on and offline, and has been practising the Law of Attraction and vision boards for over 20 years since discovering Susan Jeffers “Feel the Fear and do it anyway” book. A true believer in positive thinking and manifesting in abundance, Tendai has created over a dozen different boards in as many ways and teaches others how to dream and create their dream lives through goal setting and manifesting via vision boards.
