*Ita Bassey, is a graduate of the University of Calabar with a Second-Class Upper grade 4.2 CGPA Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Communications Studies. He is deeply committed to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the Efik language. As a passionate Efik Language Tutor, Translator, and ardent promoter, he brings a wealth of experience in teaching and tutoring both children and adults. With a genuine love for the language, Bassey is dedicated to ensuring its continued vitality and passing on its cultural significance to future generations.*

*He is involved in a lot of Efik linguistics projects (like phonetic and phonemic transcription of the Tete Efik Dictionary; translation of the Cross River Child Right Law into Efik Language).*

*He is also a language researcher with not less than 5 research papers published in reputable journals. His recent research is “Developing an EnglishEfik Corpus and Machine Translation System for Digitization Inclusion” which was presented in the AfricanNLP Conference in Rabat, Morocco*
