ROLE MODEL OF THE WEEK, DAVID OWUMI – INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT ADVOCATE AND AFRICA4U AWARD WINNER

David Owumi is an inclusive development advocate whose interests crisscross between entrepreneurship and sustainable [inclusive] development. He is a prospective PhD researcher of Inclusion & Circular Economy at the prestigious University of Bradford, where he also bagged a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development with awards of academic excellence. 

Currently, David serves as Business Account Manager for Unseen UK, a charity working with businesses and the government to end modern slavery in the UK. David also worked as Sustainable Development Research Intern at the Bradford Council and founded the Bradford CleanUp Initiative and the Bradford Entrepreneurship Club.

David founder of Africa’s first inclusion research institute, SALT HOUSE—Institute for Inclusive Governance and Sustainable Development in Nigeria. His mission is to ensure NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND. Through service and entrepreneurship, He is living up to that potential with a demonstrated history of working in civic & social organisations.

David Owumi is also one of The Africa4u Award Winners for 2022.

The Africa4u Awards for African and Caribbean achievers in West Yorkshire took place on Friday the 6th of May, 2022
