The Africa4u Awards for Africans and Caribbeans in West Yorkshire has now been confirmed.
The event shall take place on Friday the 6th of May at The City Library in Bradford at 6pm on the dot . We are passionate about celebrating the success stories of African and Caribbean achievers in Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax and surrounding areas.
We will have some amazing speakers in the day living in different parts of West Yorkshire.
We will also be giving out Award certificates to some amazing African and Caribbean achievers living in West Yorkshire for their great work in various communities.
Come and be part of an amazing evening of Award recognitions, Motivational talks, networking and light refreshments .

ABOUT DR YVONNE BATTLE-FELTON
Dr Yvonne Battle-Felton, author of Remembered, is a novelist, academic, host, and creative producer. Remembered (Dialogue Books 2019, Blackstone Publishing 2020), was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction (2019) and shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize (2020).
Winner of a Northern Writers Award in fiction (2017), Yvonne was commended for children’s writing in the Faber Andlyn BAME (FAB) Prize (2017) and has titles in Penguin Random House’s The Ladybird Tales of Superheroes and The Ladybird Tales of Crowns and Thrones.
Yvonne has a PhD in Creative Writing from Lancaster University and is a 2019 British Library Eccles Centre Visiting Fellow, and Principal Lecturer—Humanities Business and Enterprise Lead at Sheffield Hallam University where she lectures in Creative Writing.
