ABOUT SUE BUTCHER 

Sue Butcher have very recently taken up the role of Director of Children’s Care,
Middlesbrough Council however she has over 30 years of experience working as an
improvement Director of Children in Care.

Sue has achieved major improvements in
children’s services at local authority, regional and national levels and has extensive
experience over many years working in various local authorities. In 2016, Ms Butcher led asuccessful improvement journey as Deputy Director of Children’s Services in Dudley,
following an Ofsted “inadequate” judgement.  This led to her being personally praised in theOfsted report.

Councillor Favour Ezeifedi will be one of The Key Speakers at The Commonwealth for Africa 2020 taking place at Middlesvbrough.   Information about her can be found below

 Councillor Favour Ezeifedi–A passionate Campaigner for Equality and Fairness.

Favour is a social worker, a councillor and a mother.

Overcoming adversity and challenges in herpersonal and professional life enabled her to understand the needs of the less privileged and inspired her desire to contribute to making a difference.

Before migrating to the UK through the Highly Skilled Work Permit, Favour hada very successful career in telecommunication working across African countries.

Having witnessed first-hand the level of injustice and deprivation within struggling families in a local Watford school where she as a school governor,Favour was determined to change this narrative. This led her to become deeply involved in her local community through various voluntary organisations and faith groups. She quickly became an advocate for other parents and a role model in the community.

Favour has worked as a front line social work in many local authorities including Brent, Hillingdon and Hertfordshire County Council. Favour is the Chief Executive Officer of a social work consultancy group: http://www.destinycreationsgroup.org

Dr Sola Adesola will be a Key Speaker at THE COMMONWEALTH FOR AFRICA 2020 

Dr Sola Adesola is an ordained Minister of the Gospel in Pastoral leadership since 2006 at Holding Forth the Word Ministry in Milton Keynes. Over this time Sola served as Minister In Charge at Cranfield Pentecostal Assembly at Cranfield University.

Sola now heads up the lunch-time  ;Finding God @ Brookes  a weekly Bible Study she founded 3 years ago at Oxford Brookes University where she works as Senior Lecturer in the Business School. Her spiritual strengths lie in the areas of expository Teaching of the Word, carries an unction in the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, functioning in Apostolic Authority, and helping to strengthen the Intercessory gifts and Youth Leadership Development within the Body of Christ. Sola is a sought-after leader and featured speaker at gatherings.

Dr Sola Adesola is a published author of 'Reflections of God's Word for Strength' and shares bible thoughts and insights on her Facebook blog through #reflectionsofgodswordforstrength

Dr Sola Adesola is blessed with 29 years of marriage, two adult children and a grandson.

Mercia Jensen lives in Birmingham, West Midlands. She is a graduate of The City University, Birmingham where she studies Paediatrics. Who are we?

•We are registered organisation in England and Wales, an African led organisation operating in Nigeria and the UK. Save the Woman is based in Middlesbrough, North East, England charged with the task of providing or set up for the sole purpose of :

– Advocacy support and Skills empowerment for incarcerated and ex-offending females based in Nigeria and UK.

– As an extension we are currently supporting the work in Teeside University to build and enrich students life through business development and entrepreneurial studies.

– In November 2018, STW supported the launch of the African and African-Caribbean Network at Teesside University, we also organised a ‘Commonwealth for Africa’ Conference at Teesside University in March 2019.
