ABOUT MEENA ALLY
I am a presenter for a youth entertainment radio show in Tanzania (Clouds Fm) namely XXL, it airs every week day from 1 to 4pm. For some time now I have also cared deeply for matters affecting young people in my country and have been working on different projects to change youth lives through media i.e 1: Kipepeo (a project that tours the country in different schools to educate young girls against early pregnancies and H.i.v and aids infections 2: Hosted a Bbc Media Action radio program (Niambie) which focused on helping youth make informed decisions about their lives and have a voice in the country’s decision making process. 3: Global youth Festival : A festival I hosted on social media that rewarded artists who used their art to raise a voice on Neglected Tropical Diseases (Ntds), being one of the affected myself. In my career I have also managed to have been a social media influencer for different brands, commercial and at times issues that affect society i.e Covid 19 preventions. I have been lucky enough to have won an award for Tanzania Consumer Choice Awards as Most Preffered Media Personality of 2020-2021.

Simeon Adewole Ademolake Profile
Simeon studied Urban and Regional Planning in Yaba College of Technology where he was elected the President and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Students Union. He later studied Law at University of East London and CPD in Learning Skills in Middlesex University. Simeon relocated to London in 1991, in 1993, Simeon started a successful menswear business with own label called “Simeon”, which began with just £250 that now flourishes providing extra income for the most experienced but retired tailors around London. He has recently expanded this business into a Training School. Simeon passion for fashion developed into a business when he became a born again Christian. Seeing the number of men wearing suits in the church, he began by selling suit to members.
Part of Simeon Fashion’s success story were, designing outfit for News presenters and film starts such as ITV Chief Business reporter: Mark Odu, Sky One: Rutger Hauer in “Shock Treatment”. ITV4: Sir Tony Robinson in Codex 1 and 2. BBC One: Richard Armitage in Spooks. Also, on the list of Simeon’s clientele are notable Pastors like Pastor Sunday Adelaja, Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Pastor Sola Fola-Alade, Late Pastor Timothy Kolade, Pastor Wale Babatunde, Pastor Ted Haggard and of course Dr. Christopher Kolade and Councillor Alan Craig to mention but a few. Based on satisfactory recommendation of customers, In the Year 2001, Simeon was nominated for The Guild of Master Craftsmanship award for his excellent craftsmanship and outstanding business practises. In 1991, Simeon founded a not-for-profit Supplementary School called Arise and Glow Supplementary School, which provides educational support for ethnic minority children with over 4000 ethnic minority children supported already and the project is still waxing strong. Arise and Glow was recently awarded the Bronze Quality Frame Work Award by the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Schools. In 2004, Dr. Christopher Kolade the then Nigeria High Commissioner discovered Simeon’s effective leadership potential and appointed him as a Board member for Managing Business for Christ London (MBFC). A company that support businesses and help them achieve higher standard of practise. Through this company Simeon received mentoring from the High Commissioner himself, who was a Corporate Governance and Human Resources Management teacher at Lagos Business School (LBS) before his appointment. Simeon visited many businesses providing mentoring and guidance for best practises. Simeon joined The Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1998, having worked closely with his Pastor Sola Fola-Alade, his outstanding leadership quality was discovered and in 2007 He was sent to pastor a branch of The Redeemed Church called Harvest Chapel situated in Plaistow London, where he is the resident pastor. On the political front, Simeon did not cease to be active in Christian political service which he started in his native land Nigeria where he was the president of the Students Union in Yaba College of Technology. Despite his other activities and engagements, Simeon stood as a parliamentary candidate for the Christian Peoples’ Alliance in the 2005 General Election unfortunately he lost to Jim Fitzpatrick MP. In 2006, Simeon was selected to run as a local councillor. He won a councillor seat in Newham, so ending 100 years of Labour dominance in Canning Town South. His victory was historic; with Simeon becoming the first ever black to be elected as an opposition
councillor in Newham, and on the National stage, He is the first and only black so far to be elected by a Christian Democratic Party in British electoral history.
Since becoming a councillor, Simeon has successfully changed Newham Council’s policy of involvement with supplementary education, after his motion was unanimously supported by all councillors and Newham executive Mayor. In March 2007, Simeon made National Head line, Captioned “Victory for Motorist” by the Evening Standard. His case became a land mark case over London Transport’s attempt to illegally penalise motorist by issuing illegal parking ticket. The outcome of this case brought transparency into the parking law and the need for photographic evidence to be produced before a parking ticket is deemed valid nationally. Simeon in effect, is the reason why all parking attendant all over the Country must carry a digital camera today. Simeon appeared on BBC Breakfast News enlighten motorist on their rights. In 2014 Simeon was unanimously elected as the Chairman of Newham Partnership for Supplementary School. His mission as the leader of this partnership is to unite all Supplementary Schools. Simeon pioneered the first Supplementary School week in Newham Borough bringing together many nationalities and Supplementary schools. In 2014, Simeon was head hunted and appointed as Director of El-Salem Homes a property company based in Abuja, from there Simeon found his own property company called Mercy Homes in Abeoukuta Ogun State, providing hostel accommodation for Nigerian Students. Simeon is a family man to the core, a teacher, a mentor and a business coach. His passion includes meeting people, politics, preaching and empowerment.

Chika Amadi is the Resident Pastor of Goodnews Bible Church London where she serve’s alongside her husband: Apostle George Amadi; Lead Pastor of Goodnews Bible Church. She was called into ministry in 1998 under Dr D.K Olukoya.
Chika is a Legal Adviser, Author, TV Host and Social Advocate.
In 2010, She was awarded African Woman of Influence by the then Deputy Mayor of London and former Chairman of Nigeria’s PDP party alongside five other African Women Leaders for inspiring the Young generation.
From 2014-2018 she served as an elected Councillor at the London Borough of Harrow, London where she stood up and advocated for families on important issues affecting them as well as pioneered and preached in the Council Chamber for the first time ever. Cllr Chika also served as The First female Black President of a UK political Party.
Pastor Chika has ministered in many churches, crusades, ministries and online groups within the UK, the USA, Italy, Germany, India and Nigeria preaching the Word of Life and winning many souls to Christ, raising leaders, restoring marriages. Through her ministry three lives were restored to life, a cancer patient was pronounced cancer free and many other signs follow her ministry.
Chika is a Director of many successful companies including Family Mediation Centre. She is the originator and Facilitator of the Customised African Caribbean Parenting Skills Course from where she has supported many families going through Child Protection and Safeguarding issues and to her credit many children in Local Authority care have been reunited with their families, she has helped stop many black children being taken into care and has worked with some Local Authorities to adopt empowering parents to be better parents than outright removal of children from the parents where there is no manifest risk to the wellbeing of children.
Recently Family Mediation Centre she leads received The London Faith and Community Award for her Services to and for Faith and Belief Communities in Greater London.
She is the originator of The Pastor’s Wife Talkshow on TV where she equips the saints in Christ

ABOUT DR YVONNE BATTLE-FELTON
Dr Yvonne Battle-Felton, author of Remembered, is a novelist, academic, host, and creative producer. Remembered (Dialogue Books 2019, Blackstone Publishing 2020), was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction (2019) and shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize (2020).
Winner of a Northern Writers Award in fiction (2017), Yvonne was commended for children’s writing in the Faber Andlyn BAME (FAB) Prize (2017) and has titles in Penguin Random House’s The Ladybird Tales of Superheroes and The Ladybird Tales of Crowns and Thrones.
Yvonne has a PhD in Creative Writing from Lancaster University and is a 2019 British Library Eccles Centre Visiting Fellow, and Principal Lecturer—Humanities Business and Enterprise Lead at Sheffield Hallam University where she lectures in Creative Writing.

Mr Anyanwu is currently doing his PHD at The Universitry of Leeds, West Yorkshire. He is also an accomplished artist with a wealth of talent and imagination.

PERSONAL BIO
Linda comes from a family of community leadership in Huddersfield her father was one of the first black magistrates and business owners of Silver Sands/Cleopatra’s nightclub aka “Venn Street” in the 1970 & 80’s in Huddersfield. Business and community are her blood.
She spent 18 years working in the criminal justice system and the first woman to be chair of the National Black Police Association 2009. Linda held a portfolio around, gun & knife crime, stop and search and advocated not only for serving black police officers but also the community at ministerial level post MacPherson.
She is an experienced and qualified trainer delivering training internationally on black history, leadership, diversity, advocacy and safeguarding. She is a fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs SSE 2017 and has an active social enterprise Young Gifted & Black Enterprises which offers training, workshops, event management and education for the benefit of the black community.
She has worked in many public sector roles and currently holds portfolios around Housing, Employment, children & young people and health and wellbeing. She has been recognised her public roles and community activities to name a few – Outstanding contribution to vulnerable victims of crime – NBPA best community engagement programme Natural born Leaders for 3 consecutive years 2006-2009. – Awarded for outstanding contribution to effective change in housing sector – Shortlisted for European Diversity Award 2021 for best community project Iroko
Linda was the founding Director and education lead for Young Gifted & black supplementary school a montly Saturday school for children from the African & Caribbean community teaching STEAM subjects and black history based at the University of Huddersfield.
YGB does not accept any formal funding or grants and as such can remain authentic and genuine in the focus on the progression of black children. That said most importantly Linda is the mother of two gifted black children who has the battle scars from fighting the system to ensure they are the best that they can be. She describes herself as a Pan Africanist activist and self determination in the community and calls upon the wisdom of our great ancestors like John Henrik Clarke historian and educator who said, “We have been educated into believing someone else’s concept of the deity, and someone else’s standard of beauty. You have the right to practice any religion and politics in a way that best suits your freedom, your dignity, and your understanding. And once you do that, you don’t apologize”
Linda believes that education, unity, empowerment and black on black solutions are the only way we can move forward as a people.

George Badejo-Adegbenga, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MIM Finance Company and Loans 2 Go Limited (Nigeria)
George Badejo-Adegbenga was born in Nigeria West Africa. He grew up in Lagos and Ogun State where he completed his elementary and secondary education. George went on to study accounting at an institution in Nigeria but instead of pursuing a career in accounting, he decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a lawyer. His dream was realised when he relocated to the UK and enrolled to study law whilst working as a credit management professional.
George qualified as a Barrister of England and Wales in 2009 and is currently the Chief Legal Counsel of Loans 2 Go Limited (UK) and the founder of several firms in the UK and Nigeria (e.g., MIM Finance Company Limited (Nigeria), Loans 2 Go Limited (Nigeria) and Ethica Resolve Limited (UK). George is blessed with four beautiful daughters and happily married. As a lawyer and entrepreneur, George particularly enjoys mentoring aspiring Africans wanting to start up a business or excel as an employee within their organisation.
In George’s spare time, he provides pro bono services to many people and enjoys every moment because he strongly believes it’s his little way of giving back to his community.
Amongst his numerous academic achievements, George holds a Master of Law degree (LLM) from BBP University College London and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Oxford.
George is undoubtedly one of the most well-rounded and versatile African lawyer and entrepreneur within the FinTech space.

Graduate of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and National Youth Theatre alumni, Tanya has worked for 2 decades in TV, Film, Stage and Voice-over.
Featuring in many award winning shows, her work includes DC’s Pennyworth, Red Sparrow with Jennifer Lawrence, Happy Valley, Emmerdale, Rules of the Game, Casualty, Doctors, Brief Encounters and more.
Tanya trained in playwriting with Madani Younis and Ola Animashawun. She produces live artistic events and launched the 1st Leeds MonologueSlam UK in 2011. Tanya has also worked extensively, co-producing countless micro-short films which have garnered various film festival nominations. Her Hamlette collaboration with Chicken Shop Shakespeare, featured at The British Library as part their Shakespeare in Ten Acts exhibition.

Kath Canoville, also known as Kaf ‘Muscrat’ Canoville (that pesky little critter) presents About Bradford on Tuesdays 11am until 12pm. She also produces a Saturday night programme, Global Meltdown, a journey round the world through dance beats.
Kath has been involved with music for over 30 years, having launched Nation Records in 1988 and managed Talvin Singh, who won the Mercury Music Prize in 2000, amongst other internationally critically acclaimed artists.
She has been Managing Director of Matik Productions, which produces the SolaMatik & LunaMatik Festivals for the past few years. Kath is also Community Engagement Officer at Street Life in BD3, and continues to make links with the community and arts & media.
