The Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) is the largest African film festival. It takes place every two years in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. 

The objective of the festival is to: 

– promote the dissemination of all works of African cinema, 
– allow contacts and exchanges between film and audiovisual professionals, 
– contribute to the development, development and safeguarding African cinema as a means of expression, education and awareness.

ROLE MODEL OF THE WEEK, ADEBISI ADEWALE – CEO OF ADEUNIQUE VENTURES

Adebisi Adewale is the first son among his four siblings of the Adebisi  family of Iwo in Osun State Nigeria.

Adewale is still single  maritally, and an enthusiastic youth majors his profession on Graphics Design, Video and Photography, Web  and Printing being the CEO of AdeUnique Ventures.

As part of his talents, Adewale is not  only vast in the use of some professional software applications such as Corel Draw, Corel Video, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, In-design, Adobe Illustrator, Pinnacle, Aurora 3d and Microsoft Office Suite packages,  but also skilled in  problem solving, creative thinking as well awesome in his communication skill and attention to detail.

This organisation was set up to address the constant complaining about the under achievement of Black children in the UK. Supplementary education is severely under used within the Black community although there are several organisations and institutions dotted around the UK offering help.NABSS seeks to marry up Black parents and their children with this organisations to make a difference with the education of Black children rather than just sit and complain. NABSS will seek to give advice on different aspects of a young Black child’s life which includes Nutrition, Mental Health,Positive Media Entertainment, Cultural Information and more.

HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW ABOUT SUNBRIDGE WELLS IN BRADFORD, WEST YORKSHIRE

WELCOME TO SUNBRIDGE WELLS – THE UNDERGROUND QUARTER

We created Bradford’s first underground retail complex right in the heart of Bradford’s historic trading quarter. With easy access from City Park and Sunbridge Road – Sunbridgewells has become a shopping and leisure area right in the center of Bradford linking the area from the new City Park to the Arndale Mall. Bradford’s own Victorian quarter incorporating restaurants and bars in a setting in keeping with the history and ambience of Bradford.

There are Victorian style units running the length of the tunnels and it has become an internal street with a large glass area above. A rear courtyard has been created together with open plan glass / steel staircase leading to Upper Miller Gate. This creates light to the tunnel system and has been covered by an atrium entrance and exit to the shopping area below.

The main entrance to the tunnel is behind the City Park development fronting the new City Park lake fountain and below the staircase leading to Sunbridge Road. With City Hall, Lloyd’s Bar, Starbucks, Nando’s, Bradford Councils Art Gallery Number One, Jury’s Hotel, The Alhambra and Provident are in the direct vicinity – which is an ideal area for new and existing business to trade.

We are here to promote both independent retailers young and seasoned entrepreneurs in the Bradford area – with easy in and out flexible trading terms making Sunbridgewells an ideal area for new and existing businesses to trade in the heart of the city centre.

We opened Sunbridgewells for business on 09 December 2016 and by Royal Appointment HRH Princess Anne on 28 June 2017.

7 YEAR OLD RUDOLPH INGRAM NAMED “FASTEST KID IN THE WORLD”

A seven-year-old boy from the US, named Rudolph Ingram has been dubbed the ‘fastest kid in the world’ after a video of him completing 100m in 13:48 seconds.

The 100m star, who goes by the name ‘Blaze’ won the USA track and field records for his age group last weekend, and has since clocked up over 397,000 followers on Instagram.

 

In an interview with ABC news, Ingram’s father, Rudolph Ingram Senior, said he was four when he started running, after being inspired by the Olympics.

“I can give him all the tools to be great, but his drive and work ethic and competitive mentality, it sets the bar so much higher,” he said.

His father described Ingram as humble yet competitive.
