Bio and Profile
My name is Tanyaradzwa Masaire and I am a 23 year old poet,blogger and speaker. I am currently enrolled at the Harare Institute of Technology where I am studying towards a Bachelor of Technology Honours Degree in Polymer Technology and Engineering. The significance of my being a part of this degree programme in African Academia is one which is not lost on me since I am very much aware that upon graduation I will make history by being amongst the First group of students to graduate with such a degree in Zimbabwe.
I am also pursuing my creative passions through blogging, poetry, graphics design and photography. In the year 2014, I founded a platform for Zimbabwean creatives called The Real Zimbabwe Magazine (www.therealzimbabwe.co.zw) which tells the Zimbabwean story from the perspective of Zimbabwean creatives.
My fearlessness in the face of adversity and undying self belief are my biggest character traits which enable me to break any barriers that have been imposed on me. I pride myself in being able to pursue not only sciences but arts and commercials too. By virtue of academics – I am a scientist. My passions however are artistic hence I am building a brand in the arts industry whilst simultaneously being involved in business so as to finance my education and interests.
