Renowned Speaker Dr Dayo Olomu Unveils Memoir, “My 60 Life Lessons on Success and Significance”

London, UK. Thursday 12 June 2025.

Celebrating a milestone 60th birthday, acclaimed speaker, and author Dr Dayo Olomu proudly announces the release of his inspiring memoir, My 60 Life Lessons on Success and Significance. Blending personal triumphs with hard-earned wisdom, this transformative guide challenges the common pursuit of success by emphasising the equally vital quest for significance.

In this compelling memoir, Dr Olomu recounts his remarkable journey: from early hardships in Lagos, where he celebrated his 10th birthday in a humble bus garage, to reflective moments in an Iberian restaurant overlooking Battersea Power Station, with its majestic chimneys piercing the London skyline. Overcoming profound challenges, including the loss of his father at a tender age and a harrowing experience with identity theft upon returning to the UK, he embraced education and reinvented himself. Today, his achievements are underscored by an impressive 180 awards and honours, including his latest award of the Global Social Impact Award from the Diaspora Economic Forum and Africa Day Awards, which honours 27 years of mentoring, service to humanity, and enduring efforts.

Structured into sixty thoughtful chapters, the book provides actionable insights on goal setting, overcoming fear, and discovering one’s true self. Enhanced by bonus contents – 60 Fireside Chats, 60 impactful books, and 60 life-shaping quotes – this memoir, born of striking personal accounts, serves as both legacy chronicles and a roadmap for anyone seeking a life defined by purpose and generous impact.

Dr Olomu invites readers from all levels of society to embark on this journey of self-discovery and to redefine their notions of achievement. PRESS RELEASE – AUTISM A SUPERPOWER – By Lane Anthony

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UK Educator Lane Anthony Unveils ‘Autism a Superpower – The Awakening,’ Redefining Neurodiversity and Championing Unique Strengths

LONDON, UK – 1 June 2025 – DECKACY is proud to announce the publication of Autism a Superpower – The Awakening, a groundbreaking new book by esteemed UK educator and school leader, Lane Anthony. Published in May 2025, this pivotal work challenges traditional perceptions of autism, advocating for its recognition as a source of extraordinary strengths and untapped potential.

Autism a Superpower – The Awakening offers a compelling and deeply personal exploration of neurodiversity. Anthony, who, after a distinguished 40-year career in education, discovered his own neurodivergent identity whilst writing this book, brings a unique and authentic voice to the conversation. His journey from a Hackney council estate, overcoming societal limitations through intense curiosity and a profound drive, provides a powerful backdrop to the book’s central message: that difference is a catalyst for innovation and personal triumph.

The book meticulously unpacks the multifaceted reality of autism, moving beyond a deficit-based narrative to illuminate the inherent ‘superpowers’ within neurodivergent individuals. Readers will gain invaluable insights into:

• The historical roots of autism: Tracing its understanding from early misunderstandings to modern neurodiversity-affirming perspectives.

• The complex causes of autism: Debunking harmful myths and exploring the intricate interplay of genetics and environment.

• The profound impact of undiagnosed autism: Highlighting lost potential, systemic failures, and heightened vulnerabilities, particularly within marginalised communities in the UK.

• Societal barriers and cultural challenges: Examining how stigma, lack of awareness, and cultural norms can lead to isolation and misinterpretation.

• The phenomenon of masking: Unveiling the hidden costs of conformity and celebrating the power of authenticity.

• Autism and mental health: Navigating co-occurring conditions, cultural nuances, and the critical need for tailored care.

• The distinct experiences of neurodivergent girls: Breaking through gendered expectations and advocating for better identification and support.

• Transformative education: Championing inclusive classrooms, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and the Dynamic Development Plan (DDP) to cultivate neurodivergent strengths.

• Preparing for adulthood: Empowering autistic young people to navigate independence, relationships, and career paths, and exploring the evolving autistic experience across the lifespan.

“Autism is not a limitation but a powerful lens through which to see, interpret, and change the world,” states Lane Anthony. “My hope is that this book will empower individuals, families, and professionals to recognise and nurture the extraordinary strengths inherent in neurodiversity, creating a truly inclusive future. It is an awakening to the boundless potential that awaits when we truly value every mind.”

Autism a Superpower – The Awakening is an essential read for parents, carers, educators, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and neurodivergent individuals seeking a deeper understanding of autism and a roadmap for fostering a more equitable and compassionate society.
