Miriam Chioma Alete popularly knows as Mimi or Mimz is a Nigerian Media Personality, and Editor.
Early Life and Education
Mimi is a graduate of The University Of Calabar with a degree in Educational Technology and a Diploma in Personnel Management. Born in the 90s, on the 13th of August in Rivers State, Port-Harcourt.
Career
Mimi is a radio personality with a passion for giving listeners an engaging and exciting feeling of how radio is. She has Years of experience presenting music, announcing program schedules, News reporting,making promotional appearances, and interviewing high-profile guests in the likes of Senator Ita Giwa .She has worked in various media outlets (Radio/T.V) as a host and behind the scenes.
It all began in 2014 When she became the official news reporter for Loveworld TV, Calabar. She switched to radio in 2017 where she Co-Hosted the Lunch hour show at Paradise 105.5 FM, Calabar. In 2018 she moved to Sparkling 92.3 FM Calabar where she first hosted the Mid-Morning Show,and moved on to host the Home-Run Show amongst others( Saturday Morning Experience / The Ultimate Kiddies Show)
In December 2019 she joined the Consolidated Media Associates Group (CMA). Currently she’s a broadcaster with SoundCity Radio. Host of the breakfast show, What’s Up PH in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State,Nigeria. She’s Proficient in Script writing, Editing , Voice overs,hosting major events like The Urban Comedy Fest,The Beauty of Africa International Paegent featuring delegates from various African countries etc. She has got excellent public speaking skills with a knack for making all content interesting and engaging.
Personal Life
One of the major reasons Mimi was motivated to be a broadcaster was because of the doubts many had about her passion for the job. She strived and grew so well and that has made her now one of the top voices to identify with in the industry.
Recently she launched her Podcast ‘A Breath Of Fresh Mimz’. A platform where she shares life experiences to encourage people on their journey to greatness. Currently, she has two episodes out where she shared her sexual harassment experience during her early days as a broadcaster and her church experiences as well.
Mimi is of the opinion that the greatest revenge in life is Success.

I am Abimbola Lameed, a product of Psychology, mixed with communication. Beguiled with entertainment from birth, I knew what I was destined to do in life when in 2001, I ventured into Theatre practice.
Subsequently, after an all round adventure in academics and Media, comes up an astonishing career which started with Radio Nigeria, Amuludun FM 99.1 Ibadan, Oyo state; waking listeners up with morning motivational talks to start the day, as well as other air waves rocking programmes on the channel.
The influx of private Radios in Ibadan pitched my tent with another brand, Petals FM 102.3 where I barely spent a year before what I know how to do best attracted my current employers, 32FM 94.9 Ibadan.
My current areas of specialization on air are:
Sports presentation/Commentary/analyses/Bet preview. Not to forget newscasting and radio drama production.
I’m a winner and nominee in various categories of Awards across Nigeria in my area of specialisation. My style is my strength for the past nine years of broadcasting

In recent years there are THREE SIMPLE LESSONS that I have learnt that have shaped the paths of my calling
1 .BE YOURSELF – As simple as this sounds, it something a lot of people still struggle with. The truth is that there is nothing as profound as projecting the purpose of your inner voice and BEING comfortable in your own skin, So what are you waiting for? Show the world who you really are, for the world is waiting for you to share your story.
2. FOLLOW YOUR HEART – If it feels right and your intuition speaks volumes repeatedly, it probably is right. If you become deeply overwhelmed with with thoughts and a deep urge to action on something that your deeply passionate about or something you truly believe in – THEN FOLLOW YOUR HEART
3. ONE OF THE SIMPLE SECRETS TO SUCCESS STORIES IS THAT IT OFTEN TAKES LIMITED RESOURCES TO MAKE GREAT THINGS HAPPEN
I am still on a journey, (blessed in spirit but also filled with imperfections ) and God has given me another chance to grow. I pray that I will be hungry and humble enough to feed from the lessons that unfold each day –
I know that 2020 has not been a particularly great year so far, for most people , who would have thought that the dreadful corona would knock on our doors unexpectedly and haunt our minds with shades of uncertainty.
However, I would like to reassure you that even dark moments are disguised with a range of blessings and our attitude, our faith, our mindset and our outlook have the energy to feed the present moment with something overwhelming beyond any measure of distraction.
IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO- NOW IS THE TIME TO DO IT.
DURING THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD
1 I have been able to Publish My third book (With limited resources)
2. I have been able to complete five courses that have enhanced my world with more shades of new knowledge (I am also currently studying at two colleges – The Shipley college in West Yorkshire and The North Warwickshire College in the Midlands )
3. I have been able to create new networks in the city of CARLISLE and the city of LANCASTER. I have also been able to create new networks in THE LAKE DISTRICTS.
4. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, I have been able to appreciate the fact even in the darkest moments of CONVID , LIFE is still filled with an abundance of blessings when we are able to REFLECT, APPRECIATE SIMPLE MOMENTS and REALISE OUR CALLING AND OUR PURPOSE (AND THAT SOMETIMES, IT’S THE REALLY SIMPLE THINGS THAT REALLY MATTER)
