We shall feed from the cradle that has fed nations ,

And nurtured our footprints before the storm,

Warm shields dressed in mantles of hope,

Blessed in the robes of an ageless song

We shall drink from the lakes that have bathed many sons,

And painted our dreams with a new tomorrow .

The story unfolded before we were born 

The glory was crawling – creating a song .

We are the living children of The African Mother , 

Breaking through the secrets of many new nations , 

For our home is best with the best of secrets ,

We are the reason behind old stories and mysteries, 

And the ancient cradle of a loving mother .
