Suely Correia, was born in Guinea-Bissau. She grew up and completed her academical studies in Portugal before moving to Leeds in 2007. Suely has a young family and enjoys spending time with them on family outings, specially going on holidays meeting new cultures.
With a background in HR for 13+ years, Suely is the founder of Ntal Limited, a company created from her desire to help rescue the African identify and celebrate African cultural ancestry and heritage. She is the creator of the framework CROWN and mentoring program The Power of Being Courageous, with which she helps African and Caribbean women understand who they were born to be, remember whose they are and have courage TO BE.
Suely launched with sucess her Uplifting Crowns: Entrepreneurship and Wellness face to face event.
Suely is passionate about community
work in the Leeds African communities, being a member of LIAAF’s Steering Group and responsible for Ste Into Africa the children strand of the festival.
Suely writes about her lived experiences of perseverance, resilience and courage as a widowed mother in a foreign country distant from her close family and closest friends.
