Intergenerational Trauma-Based Group for Black, Brown People of the “Global Majority” (Campbell-Stephens, 2020)
Starting: 8 March 2025 Saturdays fortnightly 2.00-3.30 pm £40.00 per session (or £200: 6 sessions)
Come as you are. We aim to co-create an open, inclusive, ethical drop-in and safe space to be unapologetically black. Together we explore contemporary issues, challenges and expectations for our young people, families and communities. An invitation for meaning-making in the safety of Black professionals from the ‘Global Majority Centre for Cultural Healing’.
Please note: This group is open to adults identifying as Black, African, Caribbean, Asian and /or Dual-Heritage communities who are open and willing to engage in safe, challenging, creative, interactive dialogue and therapeutic support.

Kate and Taylor are experienced therapists, supervisors and group facilitators with expertise in Clinical Practice and Leadership across NHS, CAMHS, Paediatrics, Education, Research, Social Care, Independent & Private Practice.

Gathering 3: Exploring family configurations, hidden roots and wilted leaves. April 5th
Gathering 4: Confronting conditioning and befriending our first self. April 26th (TBC)
Gathering 5: Ubuntu, diaspora and blackness in Britain. May 10th
Ubuntu often translated as “I am because we are” originates in South Africa
Gathering 6: Sankofa and the cycles of endings. May 24th
Sankofa comes from the Akan people of Ghana. The Akan term meaning, “to go back and get it.”
One of the Adinkra symbols for Sankofa depicts a mythical bird flying forward with its head turned backwards.
