My name is Tiffany Okewole. I created SEEN because I care about equality and everyone having a better opportunity to live in a decent and cleaner environment. I believe that a clean environment is a crucial part of a healthy life which is why this problem is so important. In the future, my goal is too raise money and awareness for environmental injustice in and outside of my community. I also hope to encourage people to utilize the community and resources that they have in order to help a cause.
Imagine uprooting your entire life in pursuit of a dream, only to be met with unexpected challenges that test your love, patience, and resilience.
Against the Tides is a gripping drama that follows the lives of multiple characters navigating the harsh realities of starting over in England.
Amina and Kunle Adams, a Nigerian couple, arrive with high hopes, only to face financial hardship and career struggles that put their marriage to the ultimate test.
Meanwhile, Andrew and Ada Ameh make the move, hoping that advanced medical care will finally bless them with the child they’ve longed for—after years of failed IVF attempts in Nigeria. But will their love survive the weight of expectations and sacrifice?
Then there’s Cynthia, a bold and ambitious lady who leaves a struggling relationship behind, seeking a wealthy British husband to fund her extravagant lifestyle while juggling life as an international student. Will her plan work, or will London’s reality humble her?
And we meet Tatianna, a single British lady scarred by a past relationship, searching for true love—if such a thing even exists without hidden terms and conditions; a man to call her own; that would love her for who she truly is.
This is just a glimpse into the emotional rollercoaster that Against the Tides promises to be! The series will span two seasons with 10 episodes each, releasing biweekly on YouTube from Spring, with plans for physical screenings once funding allows.
What makes this project even more unique? Every actor in this film is stepping in front of the camera for the very first time—learning, growing, and embodying their roles from scratch. My vision is to not only tell powerful stories but also to nurture new talent in the film industry.
As for me—Mr. Larlah, “Da Most Incredible”—I juggle many hats: Cybersecurity expert by day, commercial sales manager by trade, devoted family man in the evenings, and movie writer/director by night. I’ve lived the challenges of relocating firsthand, and as a sickle cell survivor, I know what it means to fight against the odds. This film isn’t just entertainment—it’s a message of hope, resilience, and the power of pushing forward, no matter how strong the tides.

The Social Environmental Equity Network was founded by Lea Deleta and Tiffany Okewole in December 2024. Even so, planning had gone as far back as July 2024. Both girls were interested in creating a passion project that allowed their West Orange community to get involved in helping a underrepresented environmental problem in the world. With all of the current events of 2024, including laws and statements of action that went in the wrong direction in terms of environmental welfare, Lea and Tiffany wanted to create a source of hope in their community and their generation. Lea and Tiffany promise to strive and work hard in order to allow this network to have an impactful and positive effect on the massive problem of environmental injustice.
