As a new day unfolds, I am simply overwhelmed with the warm birthday messages, phone calls, well wishes, prayers, presents and cards that I have received from family members, relatives and friends from different regions around the world
It simply brings to home the essence of life and how important it is to fulfil and share our purpose in spite of the challenges that exist in an ever changing world of of new values.
TODAY I AM BLESSED AT 49 (AND I AM SIMPLY LUCKY TO BE ALIVE)
Parts of my journey has been filled with a season of beautiful stories and making the most of simple moments,
Parts of that journey have also been filled with unexpected challenges , trials, testimonies, surprises, mistakes and risks.
These new encounters have shaped part of WHO I AM and WHAT I BELIEVE IN
As I celebrate this new age of 49, I am fully aware of my imperfections and my shortcoming as A BEING as well as how important it is to work on oneself (NO ONE IS PERFECT)
I am also aware that I am A PRIDE AND BLESSINGS to LOVED ONES, MY COUNTRY, MY GENERATION AND MY RACE
And so I will continue TO BE THE CHANGE I WANT TO SEE IN SOCIETY
And so as I celebrate the new me at 49 Years young, I have also made 3 quiet promises to myself this morning
I Thank the Lord for this new day and the blessings that are about to unfold
Thank you all to everyone reading this message, I am honoured and humbled to have you in my Life and I love you from the bottom of my heart
Let’s continue to share precious moments, let’s continue to dance through the beauty of new seasons
And as you read this message, ALWAYS REMEMBER that there is a leader in you, waiting to explode and embrace new boundaries, so I urge you to listen to your inner voice and follow your heart with passion, grace and the spirit of fearlessness
Open your heart, Open your mind and Do not wait for tomorrow – Because one of the greatest blessings that lies before you is the gift of the present moment

OUR PROFOUND GRATITUDE#
On behalf of the members of the executive committees UI Alumni Global Network, I write to express our sincere, profound and wholehearted gratitude to you for deeming it singularly fit to bestow upon us the honor of devoting time out of your understandably busy schedule to join us in the events marking and celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Founders Day of the University of Ibadan, whose central theme was: “UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, NIGERIA: A Celebration of 70 Years of Excellent Service to Humanity.”
It is a life time experience to have the caliber of Nigerians and Non Nigerians (Ambassadors, the Governor of Kano, The Emir, World Renowned Scientists, Scholars, Business Gurus, Technocrats, Politicians, etc, gathered together in a single hall thousands of miles away from Nigeria for a cause: The UI Project.
We note, not without a great deal of pleasure, that you joined us as we heartily welcomed our Alumni from all over the world to London, in a gathering whose singular significance was in the fact that it was the first time that the Alumni of any Nigerian, or African University for that matter, would congregate on the diasporan turf to celebrate in a style as grand, and on the platform of both informative and educational programs, and at venues as prestigious as the British House of Commons and the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House.
We note with a immense gratitude to God that the entire celebration was a huge and unprecedented success, and we thank you for your contribution in time, resources and effort for the achievement of this successful outcome. As I wish you a safe journey back to your destination, my sincere prayer is that God will keep you safe and continue to visit your businesses, affairs and homes with His abundant blessings. Amin.
