CALABAR KITCHEN RE-OPENS IN LONDON ON SATURDAY THE 10TH OF MARCH

Calabar Kitchen re-opens @172 New Cross Road, London on 10th March

•We are back. Calabar Kitchen 1 is back. We did not intend to go away again for a very long time. Truth is we would have jumped back earlier. Much earlier.

•But we had to be sure. People change. Times change. Habits change. We had to be sure how best to serve you. Our reputation has been because of you. We are proud to have been the forerunners in bringing the famed aroma of calabar cuisine to your nostrils and your palate in this beautiful London city.

•When we flung our doors open in 1996, you confessed that your taste buds never hugged better food. You had about (5) five other choices back then. That is if my memory serves me right. Yes, (5) five Nigerian restaurants. But you stuck with us. It wasn’t because of our decor. Not for the allure of our hospitality. Not even because of our prime location. It was just for our food.

•To you it was not just food. it was home served in a plate. It was a memory of Calabar forgotten. It was a heritage served as a dish.

•Because you held us aloft, because you were loyal to our menu, we know we needed to let you in- THAT CALABAR KITCHEN 1 IS BACK!

•Our watchword then was SATISFACTION. It still is. It is a tradition. It is our skin. Our food is our pride.

•But then we have added something new. Yes we have. Our variety is two popular dishes from two other African heritages. Our wine bar offers choice and class.

•We implore you to dine with us on our first come back day. Be a witness to the finest tradition of Calabar delicacy. The real deal. Do not let your friends or family get angry with you. Bring them along. THE DATE IS MARCH 10, 2018.

172 NEW CROSS ROAD
