Connect Africa radio in Malta was the vision of Franciscan priest Father Dionysius Mintoff who has been commended for human rights work, and who offers home to fifty Africans in Malta.
He said “there is nothing for migrants here” and had the vision to bring them radio connection with Africa. David Millner became the first presenter in June 2012, joined by fellow Englishman David Perry. The show is aired on One Radio, 92.7 Fm, each Thursday at 8 pm, Malta time, with occasional scheduling breaks, like January to March 2017. The station is mostly broadcast in Maltese language and has the highest listener figures of Maltese radio stations.
